Frequently asked QUESTIONS

Because we are not yet an accredited cosmetology school, we are currently unable to accept federal financial aid. That said, we are committed to keeping tuition accessible and are happy to discuss payment options that can help you move forward toward your goals.

Once you complete your 1,500 required hours of cosmetology training, you will apply directly with the North Dakota State Board of Cosmetology by submitting a completed application, proof of school hours, and the required application and licensing fees. From there, you will need to pass three exams: the Written exam, the Practical exam, and the North Dakota Laws and Rules exam. Once all exams are passed and your application is approved, you will receive your individual Cosmetology License, which authorizes you to legally practice.

At this time, we offer full-time classes only, held Monday through Friday from 9:00am to 4:30pm. We understand flexibility matters and are actively working to add part-time options in the future.

There are no prerequisite courses required to apply for the Cosmetology, Esthetics, or Manicurist programs. You will need to be at least 16 years of age, provide proof of 10th grade completion, and present two forms of government-issued ID.

The Advanced Esthetics program requires either completion of the 600-hour Basic Esthetics program or a current Cosmetology License prior to enrollment.
